Well, I got my car into the service place today. There’s a Dodge dealership just a couple blocks from my house, so I could drop it off and walk home. I’ve always been leery of dealerships for repair work, because I’ve heard that they charge more. I was pleased to find out that it wasn’t going to cost too terribly much to replace my catalytic converter which had rusted through. (So, yes, the exhaust system did disconnect in the front, but because the rusted catalytic converter finally broke all the way through.)

At least the car will run quietly again now. And it sure is nice to have a place like that within walking distance from home!
