There’s playing the guitar and there’s PLAYING the guitar! Topher sent me a couple links today to some really incredible guitar performances. What’s interesting is how the guitar is used as a percussion instrument as well as melodic/harmonic. The first link here is of a guy named Rodney Branigan, who plays the WHOLE guitar! 
Then there’s Andy Mckee, playing the same way but more subdued. And just for kicks, check him out playing the guitarharp! Half guitar, half harp!

Andy Mckee is pretty amazing. Here is one of the first clips that I ever saw of him playing - it’s a very catchy tune, and I love how there’s so much going on with both of his hands.
Of course, I’ve been a steady fan of Phil Keaggy for nearly 20 years now, and I still say he’s one of the best. Here are two clips of Phil, one in the studio, and one in a more “live” (and therefore spontaneous) environment, where he gets to use his looping machine. Very cool.
