So there’s another competition on TV that’s similar to American Idol. It’s called Grease: You’re the One That I Want. It’s another audience-voting talent show where people are competing to get the leads in Grease for a new Broadway production of the musical that’s opening in June 2007. While I probably won’t even watch the show, I think it’s a great idea. Making people compete for a high-profile musical lead on Broadway is a great way to make the show even more popular and attractive to the audience. A good way to get some top talent and even build audience loyalty through participating in the process.
