Why do people (almost always females) wear sweatpants or shorts that have a word embroidered across the butt? I’ve seen sorority names (3 Greek letters), school names, and sports teams written across the butt and it makes me wonder why companies make clothes like that.
The only possible answer? TO MAKE PEOPLE LOOK THERE!
Granted, they could be thinking, “Guys look at girls butts all the time, so why not advertise there?” But it could just as easily be that girls WANT guys to look there, so they buy clothes with something written there. Or maybe it’s a clothing industry driven by sexuality and questionable morality, wanting to perpetuate itself.
Makes you wonder….

This morning Topher IMed me a link to a coffeemaker that just made me drool. It’s at Bed, Bath & Beyond, and it does EVERYthing! There are settings for almost everything and all you have to do is push a button. It grinds (conical burr), brews (filtered water), and even froths milk! All automatically!
The ultimate in super automatic coffee centers is here! One touch is all it takes to create the perfect cappuccinos, espressos and lattes every time. The Impressa Z5 only requires you to place a cup under the dual nozzles while it takes care of the grinding, brewing, frothing and steaming using 2 state-of the-art stainless steel-lined thermoblock heating systems and an 18 bar power pump. The programmable controls and a rotary dial allows limitless customized coffee creations. And a 32-oz. thermal container keeps milk fresh for up to 8 hours. It also features customizable coffee-strength settings, one-touch milk-frothing buttons, height adjustable spouts for short and tall mugs, 6-setting commercial solid steel conical burr grinder, electronic bean level sensor, funnel for pre-ground coffee, 96-ounce removable water tank with a 60 espresso capacity, a Clearyl water care system that removes all impurities from water before brewing and so much more!
The only problem? It’s $3,199!!
Check out this link to the Jura-Capresso Impressa Z5, and, while you’re there, pick me up one, also!

I‘ve heard three tornado sirens this weekend. One Friday night and two on Sunday night. We’ve a couple interesting storm lines move through. Yesterday was more than it seemed, apparently. A tall (Regions Bank) building downtown had quite a few windows blown out and is still having glass fall out from windows between the 20th and 30th floors. Some kind of engineer walked through early this morning and said that it’s wasn’t safe to work in the building today. This morning police also had several downtown streets blocked off because of the falling debris.
That on top of the Final Four celebration setup downtown, which blocked off several streets for the weekend. The huge seven-hour concert during the afternoon and evening yesterday included performances by Carrie Underwood and Chris Brown, and ended with John Mellencamp, a local favorite since he’s from around here. Partway into Mellencamp’s concert a pretty heavy rain started, but it quit before the finale of the concert, which was his song “Pink Houses” followed by a fireworks display. It wasn’t long at all after that before a natural fireworks display began.
People went out to the concerts and stayed, even knowing there was a threat of severe weather. Estimates vary from 80,000 to 100,000 people at the concerts. Fun times!
